Alternatively, a more secure and classic style would be French or Dutch braids on the scalp. Braids are a timeless style that can be personalized for you! A single French braid down the center of your head will help prevent sunburn on your scalp, and two French braids can be styled into buns, pigtails, or curled on the ends. French and Dutch braids are versatile, classic styles for anyone!
Another great option is styling your hair with a baseball cap. Baseball caps are ideal during summer months to keep the sun off your face and out of your eyes, but you don’t need to sacrifice your hairstyle for functionality. A ponytail can easily be placed on the middle back of your head to slide through the opening in the back of a baseball cap, elevating the look and keeping the hair off the back of your neck. Another option to try with either a baseball or bucket hat would be low buns.
